Stem Cell Therapies
The Ontario Stem Cell Initiative does not provide stem cell treatments for patients. As most stem cell therapies in Canada (and around the world) are still very experimental in humans, access to these treatments would generally require participation in a clinical trial. To find out more about clinical trials for your particular disease, contact the specialist who is currently treating you for your specific condition/disease. Another option is to go to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) database that tracks all clinical trials around the world and conduct a search for "your condition" and "stem cells". If you use the advanced search function, you can restrict the search to your geographic location.
